These times are very new to all of us and we are working very hard to keep our patients as safe as possible but also our staff and their families.
We have been working closely with Enviro-Safe28 to ensure that the Milestones is doing all that it can to help fight against the virus.
Enviro-Safe28 have been carrying out a regular 28 day antimicrobial electro-static spraying on all common touch points and surfaces to help with long term protection and reduce the risk of any further outbreaks within Milestones.
What we are doing
We are limiting visitors into Milestones. Patients are our number one priority and it is very important for their recovery that they still keep contact with their families throughout this pandemic. Therefore we are limiting a maximum of 2 visitors from the same household to visit a patient at Milestones. We have a visitors room which is separate from the ward and is disinfected after each visit as an extra precaution.
All visitors and staff are temperature checked before entering the Hospital. These are recorded along with contact details for track and trace purposes. You will also be asked if you have had an symptoms of COVID-19 or been in contact with anyone that has. Everyone is to wear a face covering including all staff.
Personal Protective Equipment PPE
We provide all our staff with PPE throughout their shifts, and we have emergency boxes ready just in case we have anyone displaying symptoms. All staff are wearing facemasks during their time within Milestones.
We understand that this is a difficult time for our patients here and work very closely with them to insure that they are getting what they need to get them through this pandemic the best they can. we have arrange weekly shopping trips for a member of staff to get the essentials and treats they require.
We are still participating in our weekly rambles so that our patients can blow the cobwebs away while following the governments guidelines.
